The best and
most popular restaurant among the travellers on the Island is Reliquias.
It's on the western side of the Island, on the Avenida de Republica at
the northern side of the arcades. The restaurant has a pleasant terasse facing
the sea. Watching the sun down with a could beer and excellent sea food can
be an unforgetable experience. The staff is friendly and organizes also theater
plays or concerts. The staff will help you as well arranging little boat trips
to the Islands close by and renting little traditional kanus. There is one
of the few suvenier shops on the island.
Count around 5 U$ for a good dinner.
Other option is the Complexo Indico on the eastern side. It's got a good food and beautiful views on the ocean and the Goa Island. Ancora d'Ouro is restaurant in the former art deco style bar in front of the museum. It'S forth to have a look inside. The food is rather basic, but cheap.
If you want to prepare your food on your own, there are everal small shops in the Makuti Town. You can also buy sea food at the market near the mosque and taste grilled prawns in the night market near Private Gardens. Be careful that the prawns are fresh to avoid and health problems.
